    Established by Jayant Maru, MAHJ Productions endeavor has always been to produce high quality cinema that is accepted and appreciated by audiences across the world. MAHJ’S reputation as a clean, honest company grew with each of these films and helped build a tremendous amount of goodwill within the fraternity and outside of it.

    26th July 2013 saw the release of MAHJ Productions ‘THE ROUTE’, the directorial debut of Jayant Maru. The production turned into a huge box office blockbuster and became a vital tool in raising awerness against Human Trafficking in Uganda alongside a successful partnership with the International Organization For Migration In Uganda.

    THE ROUTE not only broke box-office records but also accumulated a number of National and International awards.

    All of these landmark achievements set up a huge expectancy and anticipation for the next movie from MAHJ Productions, and Jayant Maru did not fail to deliver. in 2016 two short films were released ‘A MOMENT’ and ‘SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT’ which were put out for free for public viewing on You Tube.

    K3NT & KAT3

    In the same year on 10th September 2016  the release of K3NT & KAT3, (‘On a mission with no permission’), which was scripted and directed by Jayant and featured a line-up of Ugandan megastars across generations. This movie lit up the silver screen with its casting coup of industry biggies Diana Kahunde, Nkakalukanyi Patriq, Esther Bwanika and Justine Matsiko whilst Introducing child actors Zane Tumwebaze and Royal Kaitesi, and current heartthrob Albert Quaniora.

    K3NT & KAT3 represented a touching storyline and it won thousands of hearts across the world. The movie established new box-office benchmarks and went on to win acolades at a host of National and International Film Festivals.

  • Sipi

    With a clear vision of how he wanted to nurture MAHJ Productions, Jayant Maru embarked on producing films with independent producers under his banner. The first step towards this goal in late 2016 was ‘SIPI’ a film produced by MAHJ Productions and directed by Jayant Maru.

    SIPI, besides starring Uganda’s Olympic Gold Medalist Stephen Kiprotich and Miss Uganda 2014 Leah Kalanguka in the film It also starred acting favourites like Nkakalukanyi Patriq and Felix Bwanika, also Introducing Sammy Wetala and Blessing Naturinda alongside Katusime Stephen, Night Sinovela.

    ‘SIPI’, the third directorial venture from Jayant Maru is curently in Post Production.
